Information UtahHealthScape.org Collects

HealthInsight collects certain types of non-personal information. HealthInsight may use web browser cookies to recognize you and your access privileges to the Web Site, as well as to track Web Site usage statistics. This information helps HealthInsight to identify usage trends and to tailor the Web Site’s content to user needs and develop further enhancements. Although services provided on the Site are not covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and the regulations promulgated there under ("HIPAA"), we are committed to user privacy and have in place strict data security policies and measures, and ensure that users control access to their information. We let users know what information we collect when they use UtahHealthScape.org, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.  While we ask you to provide personal information through a registration process when submitting a review of a healthcare provider or facility, submitting a review is completely voluntary.

Commitment to Data Security

To improve data security, we restrict access to certain provider and health care entity account administrator information to employees of HealthInsight who need to know that information to operate, develop and/or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and the terms of this Privacy Policy, and they may be subject to discipline, including termination, if they fail to meet these obligations. We limit all such employees’ access to any personal information to the minimum necessary to perform their obligations, and not to use the information they may access for purposes other than fulfilling their responsibilities to us.

HealthInsight does not, however, guarantee that information collected via the Web Site is or will be completely secure from misappropriation by hackers or from other dishonest or criminal activities, or in the event of a failure of computer hardware, software, or a telecommunications network.
