Leaving UtahHealthScape

HealthInsight is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the healthcare system in Nevada and Utah. They are chartered for Utah and owned by representatives of these four stakeholder groups:

• Providers of health care; such as doctors, hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes,
• Purchasers of health care; such as health insurance companies and Medicaid,
• Payers of healthcare; such as employers or patients without insurance, and
• The public; primarily individuals, but also policy makers and public interest groups.

HealthInsight is made up of a board of directors, a steering committee, and many task forces involving representatives of all four stakeholder groups. By drawing from all groups, we seek to be the consensus voice of everyone interested in health care in Utah.

This consumer-oriented website is designed to:

• Increase health care transparency,
• Help people make health care decisions, and
• Encourage decision-making based upon “value.”
